Stephanie Vella graduated Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics from the University of Malta in 2002 and obtained a Master of Arts in Economics in 2004. She worked at the Central Bank of Malta within the Economic Analysis Office for three years. She is currently a freelance economic consultant and works as a part-time lecturer at the Economics Department of the University of Malta at a graduate level.
As an economic consultant, she has worked on a number of projects related to Malta’s membership in the EU as well as a number of studies on small states, particularly with regard to economic resilience and vulnerability.
